Welfinz is incorporated in Dubai's DMCC free zone. Founders commit to an institutional mandate from day one: full compliance, transparent assay, and segregation of client metal.
DMCC trade licence issued. Free-zone customs treatment, vault allocation rights, and physical-delivery eligibility are activated before the refinery is fully online.
Induction furnace, XRF bench, and ISO Class 8 assay cleanroom commissioned on the JLT floor. Process flow designed for segregated minting from the first melt.
First LBMA-format bars minted under three-method assay (XRF + fire + ICP-MS). Each bar carries a unique serial, per-bar certificate, and tamper-evident QR.
Institutional counterparty onboarding opens. KYC, AML, and OECD Due Diligence protocols live in the client dashboard from the first engagement.
Why We Built Welfinz
A founder's note
Why we are a 2026 company, and what we set out to build differently. A short essay from the founding team.
Our founders bring decades of combined experience across global bullion, commercial banking, and regulatory compliance. Welfinz is new; the people behind it are not. We came together because we shared a frustration with what institutional refining had become.
Legacy refineries inherited decades of process debt; modern entrants often lacked institutional discipline. We saw the opportunity to build a third option: an institutional refinery designed from a clean sheet, with current-generation technology and modern compliance architecture.
DMCC's regulatory framework reached the maturity we needed. Per-bar traceability became a baseline expectation from institutional counterparties. The technology for serialised minting, ICP-MS verification, and tamper-evident certification converged. Building in 2026 means building on the most modern foundation available.
No marketing puffery, no implied provenance. Segregated minting, three-method assay, OECD-aligned sourcing, conflict-free smelter program — these are the floor, not the ceiling. We do not have a fast lane that bypasses compliance. We never will.
